'The Help,' 'Modern Family' top Publicists Honours

The publicity teams behind "The AssistanceInch and "Modern Family" received top film and television honors in the Worldwide Cinematographer's Guild 49th annual Publicists Honours Friday."Harry Potter" franchise producer David Heyman and CBS' David Stapf received Showmanship Honours within the film and television groups.Australian talk show star and "Tonight Show" regular Rove McManus emceed the lunch.The annual gathering from the guild filled the worldwide ballroom from the Beverly Hilton and gave behind-the-moments publicists an opportunity to bask the main attraction of the peers.However the event wasn't without its share of above-the-line star energy.The Lifetime Achievement Award visited TV comedienne Carol Burnett, who received the recognition from ICG leader Steven Poster.Julie Andrews and Jodie Promote were available to dedicate the 2012 ICG Publicist Directory to longtime Disney publicist Arlene Ludwig in celebration of her 50th anniversary in the studio.Veteran publicist and honours strategist Tony Angellotti, who brought the Oscar campaign charge for Universal's "Bridesmaids," gained the L'ensemble des Mason Award, the greatest recognition publicists share with their peers.Other honorees include Press Award champion Susan King from the La Occasions Worldwide Media Award champion Elaine Lipworth from the Uk Excellence in Unit Still Photography Award readers Frank Masi (film) and Hopper Stone (TV) and Warner Bros. publicist Sharon Black, who received the Bob Yeager Award in recognition of her work with respect to creatures.
